Plants Grown to Order, Start to Finish

Contract growing is a specialist service for businesses that need specific plants produced to their requirements — chosen species, particular sizes, precise volumes, and agreed timing. Rather than sourcing from existing stock, you work with our team to plan and produce exactly what you need.
Rainbow Park has been growing plants and trees for over 50 years. Our facilities cover three hectares of heated glasshouses and a ten hectare outdoor container nursery, and we have the production planning systems to commit to volumes and timing with confidence. We can start from cuttings, seeds, or tissue cultures and take a crop through to finished product — or step in at any point in the growing cycle, depending on your requirements.
Contract growing clients include garden retailers sourcing specific lines, developers and councils with large-scale landscaping requirements, and specialist buyers needing particular varieties grown to a consistent specification.
What We Can Do
Our growing operation covers a wide range of plant categories, giving wholesale buyers the ability to consolidate sourcing through a single, reliable supplier:
Growing From Any Starting Point
We can take on a contract growing job from whichever stage suits your needs:
- Cuttings — propagation from vegetative material, suited to a wide range of shrubs, perennials, and indoor plants
- Seeds — germination and growing-on for species where seed propagation is preferred
- Tissue cultures — in-vitro propagated material for high-health, virus-tested starting stock
- Established stock plants — growing-on from existing stock to a specified size or finish
- Finished products — where growing is largely complete and we handle the final stages of grow-on, presentation, and dispatch preparation
Species & Categories
Our specialist growing environments mean we can take on contract work across a wide range of plant types:
- Tropical and indoor houseplants — Orchids, Anthuriums, Bromeliads, Peace Lilies, and tropical foliage
- Flowering and seasonal plants — Begonias, Hydrangeas, Geraniums, Dahlias, and perennial colour
- Vegetables and Edibles
- Trees and shrubs — native, exotic, specimen-grade, and container-grown lines from 10L to 800L
